Job Description
Responsibilities
- Checking the accuracy and viability of the product specification and quantity of work to be done
- Schedules work according to established priorities.
- Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in packaging products and materials for storage or shipment
- Inspects products prior to packaging and returns rejected products to production departments.
- Observes packaging operations and inspects containers to verify conformance to specifications
- Liaising with customer account managers to discuss time or process setbacks
- Ensuring collaboration between different staff in different departments
- Keeping contact with customers to ensure specifications are carried out
- Complying with health and safety standards and workplace legislation
- Allocating, distributing and checking work with available staff
- Monitoring and maintaining the quality of printing and packaging of products
- Improving processes and cost-efficiency
- Managing production staff and trainees
- Recommending changes and improvements.
Requirements
- B.Sc in Business Management or other relevant discipline
- Minimum 4-5 proven years of experience in a printing industry / environment
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work, set targets and make decisions
- Ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure
- IT knowledge
- Initiative, with problem-solving skills
