The team that the applicant will work for will be the internal security function for the client, this team runs a service where they track security exceptions against policy.The talent must have prior experience working at an enterprise and has worked on defining and implementing technical policies and procedures, defining standing up and implementing a SDL policy at a company. This role will be focused on a standardization project. The role will focus on helping with drafting and creating the deliverables for this project, creating deliverables with the teams around implementation planning, creating technical requirements, gathering, and PM work.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Draft policy language for enterprise security exceptions standards, requirements, applicability statements, and guidance in coordination with the Project Director, Project Managers, and stakeholders. 
  • Work with the stakeholders to get draft documents through approvals and ready for publication.
  • Draft implementation guidance and gap assessment documentation for security exceptions standard in coordination with the Project Director, Project Managers, and stakeholders.
  • Overall gap assessment of standard created in Standard Creation milestone against teams’ existing milestones
  • Overall project tracking deliverable displaying dates/milestones collected from members for when divisional teams expect to have implementation milestones defined or completed, as well as blockers or delays for implementation.
  • Track project status, milestones, and resolution of blockers that would prevent Enterprise Standard Creation and/or Enterprise Standard Implementation from completion.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity standards, policies, and frameworks. 
  • Strong understanding of Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL) concepts and implementation guidance at a programmatic level.
  • Understanding of developing complex business processes, including inputs and outputs related to technical implementation and tooling.
  • Experience performing gap assessments, interviewing stakeholders, and communicating findings among a large and federated project team.
  • Strong knowledge of computer software to create complex deliverables, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio, etc.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is the equivalent of $70- $75 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location. Additional benefits offered may include; medical health insurance and dental insurance, life insurance, and eligibility to participate in a 401k plan with company match.
